Christy Martinez, 27, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

Christy was born on May 4, 1994 in Harlingen, Texas to David Martinez & Belinda Chavez.  She attended Harlingen public schools and graduated from Harlingen High School.  Christy enjoyed listening to music, she had a very outgoing personality, loved being with family, and most of all spending time with the love of her life, pride & joy, her son, Izrael.  She was a loving & wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, & friend who will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Martinez and her paternal grandfather, Daniel Martinez.

Christy leaves behind her loving family to cherish her beautiful memory, her son, Izrael M. Martinez; mother, Belinda Chavez; stepfather, Andres Cavazos, Jr.; boyfriend, Samuel H. Izaguirre; brother, David Martinez, Jr. (Raven Rivera); sisters, Toni Martinez (Juan Tamayo, Jr.), Blanca Rodriguez (Ramiro), Sunshine Martinez (Richard), & Adriana Cavazos; maternal grandparents, Federico & Sandra Chavez; paternal grandmother, Oralia Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, & other relatives.

Visitation will be Thursday & Friday, December 16 & 17, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.  A prayer service will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow to Harlingen-Combes Memorial Park Cemetery in Combes, Texas.

Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Federico Chavez Jr., Andres Cavazos Jr., Toni Martinez, Ramiro Rodriguez, David Martinez Jr., & Richard Guajardo.
